‘The Challenge was meant to be something different, anomalistic. A contrast or a note apart. Not being really an experimental album, The Challenge represents a rather different approach to the exploration of new dimensions in my creative path plus ambient effects, hence the ‘challenge’. Even so, it looks to me that the musical idea is the master-key to properly compose that music. It is fundamental, and ultimately it represents the amount of heart and soul that has been perfused into it along the process. In a way, IT is the fine substance that conveys the musician’s sensible artfulness to the listener; it has to be a clear and homogenous signal and designed in such a way that its fundamental virtue would generate a positive and specific state of mind. When you “catch it”, you have a gold-mine!’.
