Rhythms combined with deeply lyrical themes often induce a state of trance and nostalgia. Diamond Four is no exception to this. An album of elegant, rhythmic pieces, all composed and recorded in 2011. A collection of little treasures that deserves to be heard.

In this album the melodies are rhythmic, however they keep – either through the harmonies, or the specific themes – an unmistakable lyrical note. The tracks are complex and evolving, providing enough field for both inner reflection and for joy of heart.

Overall it is an atmospheric album and we could even extend this category to space music. Only Bellphonique is distinctive by its sustained rhythm, in which the bass’n drums powerfully offer the melody a great dynamism.

The final album in the Gold collection offers us five pieces, all composed and recorded in 2009.

The album greets us with four tracks, the first three composed in 2008, and the last one in 2009. Here we find nerve, rhythm and dynamism, but also a piece of about 28 minutes (Top Clearance (Soul Ground)) with a profound meditative feel.

Gold Three is a nostalgic album, in which ample harmonies and lyrical themes predominate. Maybe after a tumultuous 2007, Indra relaxed approaching a meditative style, and this brings a welcome alternation in the succession of his creations in the ARCHIVE series.
